xCAD Collaboration


The system enables an internet based real time team engineering platform which offers shared work spaces and tools (shared whiteboard with 3D-CAD functionality) for online cooperation. This platform can be used by individual groups (clients) who work on common solutions for planning and design.
The server makes available the distribution of software, storage capacities and backup of shared documents, shared Catalogs with design elements and material data, general administration tools for administering users as well as services for user authentification and for DRM.
Each client can use the system via the internet. After a successful login into the security system, he/she becomes an active member in the system. According to the registered data, the client either becomes a customer, a designer or a manufacturer in the selected work group. The regulations in the security system also decide which user is allowed what kind of possibilities for interaction in the planning process.
